There are some endeavors that if you omit knowledge of pivotal players most people will look at you like a clueless kook. And they probably should, because you don't know what you're talking about, but you decided to run your yapper. For instance ever try to talk about Bobby Fischer to a chess geek? Or Albert Einstein to a physics student?
    Dude?!?
Reverse that and that is what it's like talking Josh Freidberg to people who ask about the first professional level skateboarder and founder of 411 video magazine from Top Town. Now if he didn't invent it 411 he ran it for a grip. And if he did invent it, we definitely talked about what he wanted to do in his skateshop JK's over in White Lakes Plaza.
No, he's not from Kansas City.
I'm not a **** rider, I'm just saying he is a great one.
Ok, You can see it where RRHC has kindly shown us the footage of his New Deal days, he was a pro skater of the highest caliber, the only one from Topeka eff what you heard and what people say, and I can tell you he was a dude not a ****.
    Peep game..
    Ever see Hustle & Flow?
Early 90's skateboarding  was kind of like that. Doing the most with the least of amount of bullshit. Video cameras weren't abundant and they were pricey and editing on computer? Are you kidding me? they still had vinyl records and casettes bro. You find a pre 95 Mac or an AMIGA (goddam that's old, I have a few in a drawer.) You'll see what I am talking about oh and photoshop hahahahahaha! version 1.0 hahahahahahahaha! that was around in '92.
So 1990. Feel this VHS footy
    The FREIDBERG GAP ,
ALL OF THE RAILS AT WESCO KU
    and of course
    Boardslide the EXPOCENTRE rail!
and I won't even mention 3 foot out cabalarials on the Armory  half pipe. And the first lines at 21st and BLVD sets.
    Dude ripped.
