Well, it appears our African-American friends have found yet something else to be pissed about. A black congresswoman (this would be Sheila Jackson Lee, of Houston ), reportedly complained that the names of hur ricanes are all Caucasian-sounding names.
She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as Chamiqua, Tannish, Woeisha, Shaqueal, and Jamal.. I am NOT making this up!
She would also like the weather reports to be broadcast in 'language' that street people can understand because one of the problems that happened in New Orleans was that black people couldn't understand the seriousness of the situation due to the racially biased language of the weather report.
I guess if the weather person says that the winds are going to blow at 140+ MPH, thats too hard to understand!

NEW YORK Andy Kessler, a skateboarding pioneer and designer of New York City skate parks, has died.
NEW YORK - Andy Kessler, a skateboarding pioneer and designer of New York City skate parks, has died. He was 48.
Close friend and fellow skateboarder Moose Huerta (whehr-TAH') said Thursday that Kessler had an allergic reaction to a wasp sting in Montauk (MAHN'-tahk), on Long Island. Huerta says Kessler died Monday after suffering a heart attack.
Kessler got his start in the 1970s with a loose-knit group of skateboarders and graffiti artists known as the Soul Artists of Zoo York. They skated all over Manhattan's Upper West Side, where Kessler lived.
In the 1990s, Kessler persuaded the city Parks Department to build a skateboarding center in Riverside Park. He also designed skate parks in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island.
