Hey Marc,

The area where I surf at in France is called "Le Landes" and is located between Hossigor and Bordeux. You would fly to Paris and then take the train or fly to Bordeux. From Borduex it's about 35 minutes to drive from where I usually stay at Lit-et-Mix and Contis. If you google or look at youtube for "Contis" or "Lit-et-Mix" "Hossigor" or "Cap Homey" (best surfing near Lit-et-Mix) then you'll get the idea.

Basically there are nothing but pine trees, little beach towns, sandy earth everywhere, good food, Bordeux wine, Armengic. It's very relaxing and simple. I wanted to rent a house neat Lit-Et-Mix so we can surf all along the coast there. I know the area really well.

In summer a shorty wet suit is enough to keep warm, and sometimes the waves can be pretty big. As there is nothing but sand there there is little danger from reefs or rocks.

I want to rent a big place so we need to budget about 1000.- US per couple per week and then we'll have a nice place.
